Knowledge Base

This document concerns itself primarily with information that is specific to the MS120 product. In particular, it concentrates on the hardware aspects of the MS120. Because programming is uniform across all SPLat products, detailed SPLat programming information is located elsewhere. For more introductory information on programming please see MS120 Programming within this document.

The material is organized largely according to various hardware features. This should allow you to quickly locate the information you need in order to properly match the MS120 to the outside world and make electrical connections. There are also a couple of chapters on more general topics like determining the permissible operating temperature.

We suggest you start with a quick read through the whole document to familiarize yourself with what’s there. After that you should be able to use it as a technical reference to look up specific information you need.

Most technical product manuals contain a Specifications section. We’ve done it a bit differently (we do many things differently, which is probably why you are using SPLat!). The numbers and ratings are discussed as part of each feature. While this may seem to make the information a little harder to locate (compared to a consolidated table), it gives us the ability to loosen up a little and discuss how the operating envelope can be flexed under different conditions. For example, the allowable output current depends on the operating ambient temperature.
