Before you start:

  1. Select via the menu mode, the temperature source you intend to use for calibration
  2. Select via Menu mode, a suitable filter setting to get a stable pH reading in the status screen
  3. Select via the Menu mode, the temperature units you wish to work in (Fahrenheit or Celsius)

Calibrating:

  1. Enter calibration mode with long press, Input 8
  2. pH Probe in PH7 buffer solution, adjust USER temperature (if temperature source is set to USER, Input 12 and Input 11)
  3. Enter the tabulated buffer pH value for the buffer solution temperature (Input 10 and Input 9)
  4. Wait for the Reading to be stable
  5. Press Input 8 button to advance to the pH4 calibration
  6. pH Probe in PH4 buffer solution, adjust USER temperature (if temperature source is set to USER, Input 12 and Input 11)
  7. Enter the tabulated buffer pH value for the buffer solution temperature (Input 10 and Input 9)
  8. Wait for the Reading to be stable
  9. Press Input 8 button to finish calibration.

Notes:

  • Rinse probe in distilled water between dipping it into pH buffers to avoid contamination
  • Shake off distilled water from probe to avoid diluting the pH buffer solutions
  • Always store the probe in the solution supplied with the probe (KCl solution), NOT distilled water.
