This tab allows you to configure the SX10509 to the default server you want it to talk to. If the SPLat controller sends commands to the SX10509 without defining a server, port, path and content type, the default server settings will be used. This can lead to a simpler program in the SPLat controller if you only require to talk to a single server.

Any changes you enter here will take effect once the change button is pressed.

Current

The “Current” area shows the values that will be used and this always reverts to the default values at power on.

URL:

Shows the current server, current port and current path.

Content Type:

Shows the current type of content to be transferred to the server.

Defaults

Values entered in the “Default” area are the power-up defaults. They will be used unless the controller sends different ones.

Server:

Set the server where the request will be sent.

Don’t use a leading protocol, ie “http://” as this will automatically be appended by the SX10509. The server must not exceed 63 characters in length.

Port:

Set the server port where the request should be sent. The port is a SPLat floating point value and must not exceed 65535. The port is typically 80 when sending a request to a HTTP server.

Path:

Set the path to the script on the server. The path must not exceed 63 characters in length.

Content Type:

Set the content type when using a POST request. The content type must not exceed 39 characters in length.
