TL485/MS485: Installation
The pictures below shows a TL485 fitted to a CC18 (left) and MS485 fitted to an MS120 (right). The two adaptors are the same board with different connectors.
To fit the adaptor to your controller, simply plug it onto the Comms connector as shown. Make sure you align the pins on the two connectors properly.
For a permanent installation you can glue the adaptor to the controller using hot melt glue or neutral cure silicone (do not use the stuff that smells of vinegar!). Do keep in mind, however, that to re-program the controller you need to disconnect the adaptor and connect the PC232 programming cable. The controller cannot be reprogrammed via RS485.
