Custom SPLat: Programming

The program that goes into a SPLat board to make it do a specific task is called SPLatWare. This serves to differentiate it from the programming tools (software) and the board’s underlying ‘operating system’ program (Firmware)

The SPLatWare is treated as a separate issue to the hardware. This leaves the flexibility for you to do your own if you wish, for us to do it (under a separate programming contract), or for some hybrid arrangement. A lot of customers like to have us do the initial version to get them going, and then take over themselves for any ongoing upgrades. This means you can get up to speed quickly with our help and thereafter be independent.
