SimpleHMI: The standalone Windows version

The standalone (windows) version of SimpleHMI lets you provide a PC-based operator interface for your products with very minimal programming. This is not the ultimate user interface – a custom written Windows app can provide a lot more sophistication and eye candy – but it is very quick and easy to implement.

Standalone SimpleHMI has been made specifically with the Enduser in mind. It has the absolute minimum of settings (essentially, just COM port selection and a Connect button). However, your program can command SimpleHMI to show other controls if required.

There could be times when you want to use the terminal function in the standalone Windows version of SimpleHMI. Simply include the switch /T in the command line/shortcut and the Terminal tab will be visible. The shortcut target should look something like this:

"C:\Program Files (x86)\SPLat\SimpleHMI_Standalone\SimpleHMI.exe" /T
