This is also a manual for our PIDassist program. PIDassist is a computer program that can be used as a process simulator, as a control console for a SPLat running a PID control program and as a code generator for a final SPLat PID program. What this means is that you have available to you a comprehensive set of tools for incorporating PID control into your SPLat application, and you won’t have to write any actual PID code or understand very much of the maths. When you install PIDassist on your computer you also get template SPLat programs and a number of Excel spreadsheets to help you both with learning some theory and with practical implementation.
