The HMI controller requires a DC power supply between nominally 12V and 24V. See the specification page for limits. It can go down to 9V if you are not using the analog output – the analog output amplifier needs up to 2V of “headroom” which is why we recommend 12V as the minimum.

The power supply must be connected to the screw terminals labelled +V (positive) and 0V (negative). A diode in series with the +V terminal protects the controller against reversed power polarity.

The controller contains a switch mode voltage regulator, and draws approximately constant power (wattage) irrespective of the voltage – as the voltage goes down the current goes up. See the specification page for more detail.
