MMi203: Permanent memory
Permanent memory in the MMi203 is implemented in the main FLASH memory. By means of a proprietary circular re-use technique we achieve an endurance of 1.2 million (640,000 in MMi99) write cycles. The write and read functions are both very fast. The instructions that access permanent memory are PermStore and PermRecall.
Data in Permanent memory is reset to all zeros when a program is downloaded to the board.
