OBLCD: Initializing the LCD
Before you can use the LCD it must be initialized. This simply tells the SPLat controller what size of LCD it is driving.
On the MS12 (and possibly future products) you must also turn on the backlight. For the MS12 the backlight is controlled by output 20. The MS120 offers the same simple on/off control as well as dimming of the backlight. MMi202s shipped after May 2009 also provide backlight dimming.
