The board is very simple to fit to a SPLat controller. Simply follow these steps:

  1. Identify the single in-line female strip connector on the back side (non-component side) of the SPice board.
  2. Identify the matching single in-line pin connector on the controller board.
  3. Experimentally plug the two boards together, taking care to align the connectors
  4. Identify the single through mounting holes that line up on the two boards (approx 2.8mm dia)
  5. Use a tubular plastic spacer, machine screw (M2.5), nut and washers to hold the two boards together. Use either plastic hardware or suitable insulating washers under the nut and screw heads. The metal plating through the mounting holes, and the copper immediately around the holes, are at ground (0V) potential on both boards, and there is no need to insulate the screw from that metal. What you must watch out for is that no other circuit traces come in touch with a metal screw or nut.
  6. Double check that the mating connectors are lined up and that the screw or nut are not shorting out traces on the boards.
