SPice10212: Measurement inputs
The SPice10212 has 3 pairs of input pins. They are located on a single 6-way connector. The pairs are labelled A, B and C. Each pair is for a separate measurement circuit.
The inputs are designed to be connected to external 24VAC isolated transformer windings. For 3-phase measurement you will need 3 transformers.
You could also use an auxiliary winding on a transformer that is powering other parts of your system, but this could result in loss of accuracy due to interaction between the transformer’s regulation and the other loads.
Do not use a transformer winding that is also being rectified to provide a DC power supply to the controller or anything connected to the controller. At best this will make for inaccurate readings. At worst it will make smoke.
