SX10501: Ultrasonic distance measurement + Non-Contact Temperature Measurement (Optional)

The SX10501 has an ultrasonic sensor mounted to the underside of the board that measures the distance from the sensor to the nearest object directly in front of the ultrasonic sensor.
The SX10501 also comes with a connector that allows an optional TN9301 non-contact temperature sensor to be plugged in
The SX10501 gives you a choice of using the Xwire cabling for short cable runs between boards, or RS485 for long runs. Xwire is suitable for “inside the same box” use (a few feet) and has virtually zero hardware cost. RS485 is suitable for tens or hundreds of feet (depending on a number of factors) but requires an RS485 adaptor on the controller (whereas the SX10501 has RS485 built in, our standard controllers do not).
