It’s possible to query the CPU device for a unique ID. These come in either a 16-bit version:
SPxPoll2 6,!CPU
…or a 24-bit version:
SPxPoll4 2,!CPU
The 16-bit version returns the unique ID in U[0] and U[1], while the 24-bit version returns it in U[0] to U[2].
